Backstage Production
SCHOLARSHIPS ARE AVAILABLE!
Ages: 12+, All Abilities are Welcome. No experience is necessary.
When: Wednesdays, 4:30 PM - 6:30 PM for 16 weeks
Class Starts: January 29, 2025
Classes will Meet: 1/29, 2/5, 2/12, 2/19, 2/26, 3/5, 3/12, 3/19, 3/26, 4/2, 4/9, 4/16, 4/23, 4/30, 5/7, 5/14
Cost: $500.00 + $48.00 registration fee.
The $48 annual registration fee is due for enrollment in the class.
The remaining balance can either be paid in full ($500) or monthly ($125 per month). You can pay this online or in-person at the studio.
Final Performance: Showcase May 17 & 18, 2025
Scholarship Application can be submitted once registration fee is paid.

Class Synopsis:
Embark on a journey behind the scenes of live theater and events in our backstage production class. Led by our experienced Creative Coordinator , this course offers hands-on training in set design , lighting design, costume creation, and prop making. Dive into the world of theatrical production as you learn essential skills and techniques to bring the stage to life. Whether you're a budding stagehand or a seasoned theater enthusiast, this class provides the perfect opportunity to explore the artistry and craftsmanship that makes every performance magical. All students involved in the backstage production class also get to participate in the Design, Build and Haunt class, which turns the studio into a Haunted Studio fundraising event for the public. Join us and discover the secrets of backstage magic!
Class Goals:
Learn fundamental skills in set design , lighting design, costume creation, and prop making.
Gain practical experience in backstage operations through hands-on projects and activities.
Develop teamwork and collaboration skills by working closely with classmates on various production tasks.
Build confidence in your abilities to contribute to a live theater production behind the scenes.
